Age is but a number my friend, welcome in, I myself have been riding a cough cough a good few years so I can assure you you cudnae pick a better way tae die than a 4xv haha, only kiddin, great bikes and the only advice i'll give someone with your undoubted experience is tae fit a steering damper if it don't already have one, enjoy the new bike and the forum.

Your alcohol influenced-self has made a great decision for you & the early R1's are such a lot of fun - welcome in and enjoy both the forum & the new bike ;) :)

Welcome in Mark
Your going to love the 4vx & if your finding the sportsbike clip-on's a little hard on the wrists then f**k the clip-ons off buy a top yoke conversion full kit for £210 all you have to do is buy bars seperate & decide whether to have 22mm bars or 28mm fat bars !
Then you can f**k all that plastic crap off & the XJR and your sorted ;)
Ohh & get some picks up ;)

Welcome to the forum. Have you got the link to the auction, so we can see what you've bought? Some type of bar risers really help with the riding position but you don't need to fit motocross bars!

I'm sure you'll enjoy it and I'll bet the XJR won't get ridden much in the future. I've basically stopped riding my ZZR1200, although it is certainly a fun bike to wind out!

Welcome to the forum Mark and congratulations on your new purchase, obviously a few beers, wine and decision making go well together with you. Just please take it easy.

Oh and as far as age goes, we are not all in our twenties on here, we do have some retarded members so you will fit right in.

As peeps have said, this is a friendly forum, we all get on well together and help each other out. Loads of banter too.

So any questions, just ask

Stephen :)

The bike looks pretty tidy mark & the previous owner has already put a steering damper on for ya (looks like a sprint but can't quite read the name on it) that pipe looks like it's gonna make a pleasant noise too ;)
