Welcome in Graham
I think your only a few years above our average age that our inhouse ex-accountant Cilla . . . i mean SteveR1 worked out for us , who is infact a stephen not a steven !
So give us all about your biking history , what model R1 you have & some pic's would be nice , we love pic's ;)

Have fun :). It's actually an easy bike to ride, but you might notice the extra power.

+1 it should be nice & smooth from the bottom with plenty of grunt , after 5000rpm it should get nice & nippy after 7-8000rpm the fun begins . . . . . . . . . After 9000 rpm hold the f**k on

I might have done it then. Gave it full throttle in 2nd overtaking someone from about 40 mph. Got past OK then things happened very quickly!

No idea of revs or speed, had to look where I was about to be as it felt like time and space were being compressed.

Now my other bike isn't exactly slow but this was something else!

That's cos you got no fairings monkey face

Welcome in Graham, 50 is no where near too old to be riding an R1 so well done mate
Old monkey face is Amosa right in that our average age is Colin's aks colon or Locke, not Lockie at 41 but their ain't much difference. 40's are the new early 20's, and 50's is the new mid 20's, which means we have a load of members still well, let's say they ain't grown up yet :P

Loads of banter and helpful tits on here so welcome :P
