Re: hello
+1 it should be nice & smooth from the bottom with plenty of grunt , after 5000rpm it should get nice & nippy after 7-8000rpm the fun begins . . . . . . . . . After 9000 rpm hold the f**k onMoise wrote:Have fungray4kez wrote:been riding for more then 10 years had a honda ss50 when i was 16 then x7 when i turned 17 then got a car turned 40 passed test for a bike got myself fzr 600r had to sell it due to lossing my job .got a new job so got another fzr 600 r then turned 50 got a r1 4xv![]()

. It's actually an easy bike to ride, but you might notice the extra power.

Re: hello
I might have done it then. Gave it full throttle in 2nd overtaking someone from about 40 mph. Got past OK then things happened very quickly!
No idea of revs or speed, had to look where I was about to be as it felt like time and space were being compressed.
Now my other bike isn't exactly slow but this was something else!

Welcome in Graham, 50 is no where near too old to be riding an R1 so well done mate
Old monkey face is Amosa right in that our average age is Colin's aks colon or Locke, not Lockie at 41 but their ain't much difference. 40's are the new early 20's, and 50's is the new mid 20's, which means we have a load of members still well, let's say they ain't grown up yet
Loads of banter and helpful tits on here so welcome
